The Stars have recalled Adam Scheel from Texas (AHL) to serve as Jake Oettinger's backup while Holtby sits out due to a lower-body injury. Holtby is considered day-to-day.

Holtby has not played since January 28th but will be available as a backup on Wednesday. Holtby could start later this week, either Friday vs. the Jets or Sunday vs. the Avalanche.

With Holtby out, Anton Khudobin was recalled from Texas (AHL) to serve as Jake Oettinger's backup vs. the Flames. Holtby is considered day-to-day.

Holtby missed three games while on the COVID-19 protocol list but is set to be back in the lineup on Tuesday. It's unclear whether or not Holtby or Jake Oettinger will start vs. the Canadiens.

With Holtby out, Jake Oettinger is expected to start Wednesday and Anton Khudobin will be recalled to serve as the backup.

Holtby stopped 39 of 40 shots in the Stars win over the Hurricanes last Tuesday. For now, it looks like Holtby and Jake Oettinger will be splitting the crease, and Holtby will go tonight vs. the Coyotes.
