Duhaime will join his third team in two seasons after Washington signed the bottom-six winger to a two-year deal worth $3.7 million ($1.85M AAV). The 27-year-old is in his fifth NHL season and had five goals and 13 points in 80 games between Minnesota and Colorado in 2023-24.
Duhaime will add a rugged edge to Colorado's bottom-six forward group as they shape their roster heading into the playoffs. In 62 games with Minnesota this season, Duhaime had eight points (4G / 4A), 66 penalty minutes, and 153 hits.
Duhaime had nine goals, one assist, 80 SOG, 42 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 51 games with Minnesota in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, $1.1 million AAV contract to avoid arbitration. Duhaime missed the Wilds' previous game vs. Colorado due to illness but will draw back into the lineup Saturday as Minnesota takes on the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old has eight goals, one assist, 64 SOG, 40 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 44 games before missing the last game.
Duhaime has eight goals, an assist, 64 SOG, 40 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 44 games but will be out Wednesday vs. Colorado due to an illness. Minnesota will go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen for Wednesday's game in the meantime.
Duhaime will get his first taste of NHL action since Nov. 23rd as he replaced Mats Zuccarello (upper body) in the Wilds' lineup. The 25-year-old has three goals, four points, 21 SOG and 20 PIMs through 14 games played earlier in the season.
Duhaime has not played since Nov. 1 due to being a healthy scratch but will draw back into the Wild's lineup Tuesday as they take on the Nashville Predators. The 25-year-old bruiser has been solid in his first ten games, picking up two goals and three points while also having 18 SOG and 14 PIMs while averaging only 9:01 ATOI.
Duhaime is set to miss at least Thursday and next Tuesday's game in LA after leaving the Wilds' game Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. He was only able to play 4:46 TOI prior to heading off with an injury. In 10 games so far this season, the 25-year-old has three points (2G/1A) and 18 SOG.
