Vegas has signed Callahan Burke to a one-year, two-way contract.

Burke has been with the Avalanche organization since turning pro in 2021 but has appeared in just three NHL games since then. Burke spent most of the 2024 season in the AHL, where he had 16 goals and 23 assists (39 points) in 57 games with the Colorado Eagles. Look for him to start the 2024-25 season in the AHL.

Burke had 16 goals, 23 assists, 18 PIMs, and a +12 plus/minus in 70 games with Colorado (AHL) in 2022-23 and has been traded to Carolina for Caleb Jones. The 26-year-old forward originally joined Colorado as an undrafted free agent in 2020-21 and has played three AHL seasons for the Eagles. He made his NHL debut during the 2022-23 season with the Avalanche, playing in two games and failing to pick up a point.

Burke made his NHL debut this season with the Avalanche, failing to pick up a point and being a -1 plus/minus through two games this season but has signed a one-year, contract extension Wednesday for the 2023-24 season. The 26-year-old will give the Avalanche roster depth after putting up 16 goals, 37 points and 18 PIMs in 68 games played this season with the Colorado Eagles (AHL).
