Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers win over the Canucks on Saturday. Talbot has now won his last two starts while stopping 59 of 63 shots (.937 SV%). Talbot will look to get on a roll and drag the Oilers back into playoff contention and he draws a great matchup tonight vs. the Sabres. Buffalo is an ugly 6-14-6 on the road this season.

The 30-year-old has gone 1-1-0 with a 5.00 GAA and .811 SV% in two starts vs. the Stars this season.

After a great four-game winning streak, Talbot has now dropped three straight while allowing a combined 13 goals on 113 shots (.885 SV%). Tonight he has a chance to get back in the win column vs. a Kings team that has lost five of eight (3-3-2).

It was an excellent return to the crease for the Oilers’ workhorse, who will be leaned on heavily as they try to battle back into the playoff picture. Dating back to before he was hurt, Talbot has won four straight while allowing two goals in every game and posting a .927 SV%.

Talbot has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury but returns to the crease in Minnesota this afternoon. Talbot has had some struggles this season but he was playing well prior to getting hurt, winning his last three starts while posting a 1.95 GAA and .923 SV%. He isn’t the best option on this loaded 11-game slate, but he should be a middle of the road start in the first game of the day.

Talbot has missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury but it looks like Talbot could start Saturday in Minnesota. Laurent Brossoit struggled early-on but has played better recently but expect the Oilers to go back to leaning heavily on Talbot. He has posted a 3.00 GAA and .903 SV% in 22 appearances this season.
