Talbot will start Thursday vs. the Stars.

Talbot stopped 42 of 44 shots in the Oilers 2-1 overtime loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Talbot has been much better in his last three starts, stopping 94 of 99 shots (.950 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he will face a Dallas team that is 20th in the NHL scoring (2.89 GF/PG) through their first nine games.

Talbot allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon. After opening the season with a shutout, Talbot has lost four of his last five starts while allowing a combined 15 goals on 128 shots (.883 SV%). Tonight he faces a high-end Penguins team on the road, where the 30-year-old is 1-2-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .903 SV% so far this season.

Talbot was yanked after allowed four goals on 23 shots in the Oilers loss to the Senators last Saturday. Laurent Brossoit got the nod on Tuesday, so they’ll come back to Talbot tonight in Chicago. Talbot has gotten off to a dreadful start, posting a 3.96 GAA and .880 SV% in four starts.

Talbot allowed five goals on 43 shots in the Oilers loss to the Jets on Tuesday. After posting a shutout in his first start of the season, Talbot has now given up a combined eight goals on the last 50 shots (.840 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he faces a Senators team that has averaged 3.25 goals per game without Erik Karlsson.

It was an ugly performance from Talbot, who had a tidy shutout in his first start of the season. Despite a nice relief appearance from Laurent Brossoit, the Oilers will go right back to their No.1 vs. a Jets team that has stumbled out of the gate.

Talbot stopped all 26 shots in the Oilers shutout win over the Flames on opening night. Calgary didn’t really test last year’s leader in wins, making it a great start to 2017-18. Days off will be few and far between for Talbot, who will make his second start tonight in Vancouver—he is a must-start on most, if not all nights.

Talbot was solid in his first season in Edmonton, but he was excellent in year-two. The 30-year-old netminder led the NHL in both games started (73) and wins (42) and will likely have a good chance to defend those crowns in 2017-18. Talbot is a workhorse on a team that many believe is a Stanley Cup contender this season. A year ago he was 3-0-0 vs. the Flames, but this is an improved Calgary team he will see tonight.

Talbot allowed one goal on 35 shots in the Oilers win over the Kings on Tuesday. Talbot got back on track after two disastrous outings in a row. Tonight he will face the Sharks for the fourth time this season and he has gone 1-1-1 with a 2.99 GAA and .902 SV% in the previous three meetings.

Talbot was pulled after allowing four goals 15 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Colorado last Thursday. Talbot was pulled in back-to-back starts, allowing eight goals on just 33 shots (.758 SV%). After getting a night off on Saturday, Talbot will look to get things back on track tonight vs. the Kings. He is 2-0-0 with a 0.50 GAA, .984 SV% and one shutout against Los Angeles.

Talbot was pulled after allowing four goals on 18 shots in the Oilers’ loss in Anaheim last night. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Talbot, who will go again tonight in Colorado. He is a must-start vs. the last place Avalanche, who the Oilers beat handily with Talbot in net back in November.

Talbot stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Oilers’ shutout win over Vancouver on Saturday. Talbot has won three in a row while stopping 87 of 92 shots (.946 SV%). In his first start against the Kings, Talbot was great, stopping 28 of 29 shots a 3-1 win in late-December.
