Ehrhoff returned to the lineup on Wednesday and he was expected to play this afternoon vs. the Blue Jackets. He was on the ice for yesterday’s practice, but was a surprise scratch. You have to think he is maybe still suffering from concussion-like symptoms.
Ehrhoff played 18:34 and registered one blocked shot and a plus-1 rating in his first game since January 28th. He was playing over 22 minutes a night before getting injured, so expect those minutes to be on the rise again.
Ehrhoff has been out since January 28th, but it looks like he could be back on the Pens’ blue line tonight vs. the Capitals. Before getting hurt, he has three goals and 10 assists in 43 games, which has too be considered disappointing for the 32-year-old. Expect Derrick Pouliot to come out of the lineup if Ehrhoff ends up being good-to-go.
