Jaros was traded to the Devils in July and has appeared in just 11 games with the Devils this season. Jaros cleared regular waivers on Monday and was going to be sent to the AHL.

Jaros was recently activated from COVID-19 protocol and will play for the first time since December 11th. Jaros will replace Dougie Hamilton, who is out with a head/face injury after taking a puck to the face on Sunday.
Nico Hischier and Ryan Graves were moved to the COVID-19 protocol list over the weekend and Jaros joined them on Monday.
Jaros immediately signed a two-way contract with the Devils after being dealt from San Jose. Jaros has spent most of his time in the AHL over the last two seasons, so expect that to be the case again in 2021-22.
This is the second time in seventh months that Jaros has been traded. After moving from Ottawa to San Jose, Jatos had one assist in seven games with the Sharks and three assists in 11 AHL games. In New Jersey, he will likely report to the AHL to start 2021-22.
Jaros has been in the lineup for three straight games but will be replaced by Nicolas Meloche on Wednesday.
Jaros, who has a fifth-round pick of the Senators back in 2015, was traded to the Sharks in January. He's appeared in 11 games with the San Jose's AHL affiliate, collecting three assists and is expected to replace Marc-Edouard Vlasic (upper-body) in the lineup on Tuesday.
Jaros played in the last seven games with the Senators but will swap spots with Christian Wolanin and return to Belleville. He has two goals and 13 assists (15 points) in 32 AHL games this year.
With Ron Hainsey's return looming, the Senators return a defenseman to Belleville and summon a forward (Filip Chlapik) with that roster spot.
With only five healthy defensemen on the roster, Jaros comes back up from Belleville and will play on the third pair on Sunday. Jaros has one goal and nine assists (10 points) in 21 AHL games this season and one goal and nine assists (10 points) in 64 career NHL games.
Jaros played 10:21 TOI while picking up four PIMS and a minus-1 rating in his season debut vs. the Rangers last night. With the Senators off until Monday, Jaros' return to the AHL suggests that they expect one of Erik Brannstrom, Nikita Zaitsev or Cody Goloubef to be ready to play.
Cody Goloubef was hurt in the morning skate, so Jaros comes up and will make his season debut on Friday. Jaros, who has six points (1G / 5A) in 14 AHL games this season, has registered 10 points (1G / 9A) in 63 career NHL games with Ottawa.
Jaros will miss Thursday’s game against the Islanders and will likely miss Saturday’s game in Boston.
Jaros missed Monday’s practice and is expected to miss all three games this week. The Senators left a slight chance that he could play this week but will likely have to recall a defenseman before heading to Toronto for Wednesday’s game.
Jaros was not in the lineup for the last two games, but will replace Chris Wideman on Monday. Jaros has registered just one assist in 14 games with the Senators this season.
Jaros has played for Ottawa and Belleville this season, picking up one assist in two NHL games. Jaros could play on Saturday as the elect to go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
