Nilstorp, 30, stopped 14 of 17 shots after replacing Tim Thomas in last night's loss to the Jets. His return to the AHL suggests that Kari Lehtonen (concussion) is ready to return to action.

Nilstorp, 30, stopped 14 of 17 shots after replacing Tim Thomas in last night's loss to the Jets. His return to the AHL suggests that Kari Lehtonen (concussion) is ready to return to action.
Nilstorp, 30, has been recalled because Kari Lehtonen is likely unavailable for Monday's game so Nilstorp will serve as Tim Thomas' backup. Nilstorp has posted a 21-12-4 record for Texas this season with a 2.58 GAA and a .915 SV%. His 21 wins are currently tied for the third-most in the AHL. He made his NHL debut in 2012-13 appearing in five game for Dallas, registering a 1-3-1 record with a .897 save percentage and a 3.09 goals against average.
Nilstorp is not fantasy relevant, but this does mean Lehtonen will be dressing next game.
The recall of Nilstorp was prompted by Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen suffering a lower body injury in Tuesday’s game against Los Angeles. Nilstorp is 18-11-3 with a 2.26 goals against average and .909 save percentage with Texas. He is also 1-3-1 with Dallas this season and has posted a 3.09 goals against average and .897 save percentage.
Nilstorp allowed one goal on 32 shots in his last start vs. San Jose. He will be back between the pipes tonight because Kari Lehtonen is still not ready to return when Dallas faces Nashville. The Predators are last in the NHL in Goals For per game (1.95) but are third in Goals Against per game (2.05) so Nilstorp shouldn't be too busy but will need to out play Pekka Rinne.
Good news for Karo Lehtonen owners. He seems ready to return.
With Lehtonen out, Nilstorp continues to get starts
WIth Lehtonen still on the shelf the Stars are rolling with Richard Bachman and Nilstorp. Nilstorp got 2 starts earlier this season before being reassigned to the AHL. He lost both his starts this season while posting a 2.70 GAA and .918 SV%. He has a tough matchup vs. Vancouver.
Kari Lehtonen was injured in yesterday's game so Nilstorp has been recalled to backup Richard Bachman while Lehtonen is out with an injury.
Nilstorp has been placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. Richard Bachman has been recalled from the Texas Stars to replace Nilstorp.
Nihlstorp will get his second start of the year tonight against the Blues. He played well in his first game only giving up 1 goal but still taking the loss, as the Stars were shutout by Minnesota's Josh Harding.
With Lehtonen getting the start for the Stars last night it appears like Nihlstorp will get his first NHL start after going 16-10 in the AHL during the lockout. He doesn't have much fantasy value as an NHL backup
