The 27-year-old picked up a victory in his first start of the season despite a very average showing (5 GA - .792 SV%) and will look to keep Calgary's undefeated start to the season alive (2-0-0). They head to Edmonton to take on the Oilers, who have struggled mightily out of the gate with their 0-2-0 record and 11 goals against.

With the departure of Jacob Markstrom to the New Jersey Devils, the Flames start the season with Vladar and Dustin Wolf as their two netminders. Vladar will get the first opportunity to make his case for the starting position in their season opener against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.
