Malgin missed Saturday’s game against the Blackhawks and the Panthers announced that he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. With Malgin out, Dryden Hunt will play on the Panthers’ third line.

Malgin was in the lineup for the last seven games, picking up just one goal and one assist. He will be replaced by Maxim Mamin tonight.

Malgin is dealing with a minor injury, so he will not play in Boston. Michael Haley will draw back into the lineup to replace Malgin.

Malgin missed the last seven games with an undisclosed injury, but will be back on a line with Vincent Trocheck and Jonathan Huberdeau tonight vs. the Senators. The 21-year-old has five goals and six assists (11 points) in his last 16 games.

Malgin has appeared in the last five games with the Panthers, but with Jared McCann, Colton Sceviour and Connor Brickley expected to return to the lineup on Saturday, Malgin has been returned to the AHL. The 20-year-old has one assist in three games with Springfield this season.

Malgin spent most of last season with the Panthers, but did collect 12 points (3G / 9A) in 15 AHL games and has picked up one assist one three games with Springfield this season. There’s no word whether or not Malgin will draw into the lineup on Tuesday.

Malgin has served as a healthy scratch in the Panthers’ first three games of the season, so he will head to the AHL to get some games in. Malgin had 12 points (3G / 9A) in 15 games with Springfield last season and 10 points (6G / 4A) in 47 NHL contests. Jared McCann and Connor Brickley have passed him on the depth chart, resulting in his healthy scratches.

Malgin will miss at least one week with a concussion that he sustained on Saturday. With Malgin out, Michael Sgarbossa is expected to draw back into the lineup on Tuesday.

Malgin has often served as a healthy scratch over the last month and has collected just eight points (4G / 4A) in 39 games this season. The Panthers want to get Malgin more playing time, so he will head to Springfield for the first time this season.
