Simon Nemec will draw back into New Jersey's lineup on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers, sending Cholowski to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 27-year-old Cholowski is averaging 12:49 time-on-ice and has 10 points (3G / 7A) in 35 games this season.

Cholowski was a 20th overall pick of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The 27-year-old averaged 12:48 time-on-ice and scored 10 points (3G / 7A) in 33 games with the Islanders this season.

Grant Hutton will be a healthy scratch on Saturday, allowing Cholowski to re-enter the lineup. The 26-year-old Cholowski has played well when called upon this season, averaging 12:11 time-on-ice, recording six points (2G / 4A), and a +5 plus/minus.

Cholowski will be the odd-man out on the Isles blue line when they travel to Montreal to take on the Canadiens on Tuesday. Cholowski has two goals and four assists in 17 games this season.

Alexander Romanov (upper-body) will make his return from a three-game absence on Friday, sending Cholowski to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old Cholowski was thrust into the lineup due to Romanov's injury and recording one point (1G / 0A) in three games.

Cholowski spent the entire 2024 season in Bridgeport (AHL), where he had 31 points (7G / 24A) in 68 games. Since signing with the Islanders prior to the 2023 season, Cholowski has appeared in just two NHL games but has eight goals and 61 assists (69 points) in 135 AHL games. Expect him to continue to provide offence at the AHL-level and be one of the first names the Islanders consider when they need help on their NHL blueline.

Cholowski failed to pick up a point across two-games for the Islanders and heads back to Bridgeport (AHL) Monday. The 24-year-old had 17 assists, in 35 games with 12 PIMs in Bridgeport prior to his promotion.

Cholowski has 17 assists, 12 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 35 games with Bridgeport (AHL) and has been recalled for the first time this season to New York. Cholowski has played in 115 career NHL games, with 10 goals, and 30 points across that span.

Cholowski was picked by the Kraken in the expansion draft but they lost him to the Capitals on waivers in October. Re-claiming him means they are able to send him to the AHL. Cholowski has one assist in seven games this season.

Cholowski played just 9:57 TOI in his Capitals debut on Sunday while suiting up as a seventh defenseman. On Friday, he'll replace Justin Schultz, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
