Everberg had three goals and nine assists (12 points) with the Avalanche this season. His shoulder surgery will keep him out for at least six months, which means that he likely will not be ready for training camp for next season.

Everberg, 23, has on goal and three assists in 19 games with Colorado. In his time in Lake Erie he has collected three gaols and one assist in 10 games. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Panthers.

Everberg served as a healthy scratch in Saturday’s game, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. He has no points and a minus-1 rating in three games since returning to the Avalanche lineup.

Everberg suffered the shoulder injury on a third period hit from Capitals' forward Tom Wilson. With Jamie McGinn sidelined as well, the Avalanche will recall a forward from Lake Erie.

Everberg, 22, had a great camp with the Avalanche and looked strong in the first five games of his NHL career, but was sent back to the minors where he recorded two goals and one assist in five games. He is now back with the Avalanche and will try and crack the lineup on Thursday.

The Avalanche had to make a roster move with Reto Berra going down with an injury last night. Everberg has been a nice find for the Avs after coming over from Sweden this offseason. He is not cut out for a fourth line role and he is on a two-way contract, so he is the one who gets sent down. Expect to see him back with the big club this season.
