Bemstrom sat for the third period of Monday's loss in Calgary, playing just 6:18 TOI. He'll be replaced by Liam Foudy in the Blue Jackets' bottom-6 on Wednesday.

Bemstrom was recalled from Cleveland (AHL) after an impressive 14 goals and 17 assists in 21 games with the Monsters and will return to the Blue Jackets lineup Thursday vs. the New York Islanders. Bemstrom will draw into the first line with Johnny Gaudreau and Jack Roslovic and will be hoping to add to the two goals and two assists he had in seven games earlier in the season.

Bemstrom had four points (2G / 2A) in seven games during his call-up. He'll return to the AHL to give Carson Meyer a shot in the NHL.

Bemstrom was missing from Wednesday's practice but was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate. He remains questionable to play vs. the Canadiens and is considered a game-time decision. Bemstrom cleared waivers on Monday and was sent to the AHL to start the season. Bemstrom struggled to find his footing in the 2021-22 season, tallying just 11 points (6G / 5A) in 41 NHL games.

Bemstrom has missed the last seven games while in COVID-19 protocol but the Blue Jackets placed Joonas Korpisalo on IR and activated Bemstrom on Wednesday. This cleared the way for him to play Thursday in Florida but coming off of a win over the Maple Leafs, don't be surprised if they go with the same lineup as Tuesday.

Bemstrom will not be available for Tuesday's game in Washington, so Trey Fix-Wolansky was recalled from the AHL and is expected to make his NHL debut.

The 22-year-old forward had three goals and two assists (five points) in 20 games with Columbus last year.

Bemstrom has been out since March 14th but will return to the lineup Saturday in Carolina. Bemstrom will replace Patrik Laine, who is out with a non-COVID-19 related illness. Bemstrom has just two assists in 15 games this season.

Bemstrom was hurt in Wednesday's practice and was placed on IR on Thursday, meaning he'll miss at least seven days. Mikhail Grigorenko will replace him in the Blue Jackets' bottom-6.

Bemstrom will play for the first time since January 21st, replacing Mikhail Grigorenko in the lineup vs. the Blackhawks. Bemstrom has no points in five games this season but has 20 points (10G / 10A) in 61 career games to this point.

Bemstrom has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since December 7th but has been activated from IR prior to Saturday's afternoon game. It remains to be seen if Bemstrom will play against the Sharks.
