Hutton had five assists, 14 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus in 16 games with Bridgeport (AHL) and has been recalled from the Islanders for the second time this season. The 28-year-old has earned the call up and will be used as an extra defensemen with Scott Mayfield (upper body) day-to-day and Sebastian Aho (upper body) returning from injury.

Hutton has only played two games this season, scoring zero points and averaging 8:46 time-on-ice, and has not played since November 28th. His demotion to Bridgeport of the AHL likely means that Sebastian Aho (upper-body) is on the mend and will be activated off the injured reserve.

After playing two straight games, his first this season, Hutton will be a healthy scratch, replaced by Samuel Bolduc. Hutton saw limited action in his first two games, averaging 8:46 time-on-ice, playing predominantly on the third defensive pair with Mike Reilly.

Hutton missed Sunday's game in Toronto due to an illness but was back on the ice this morning and is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Panthers. Hutton will either replace Sebastian Aho or Zdeno Chara in the lineup.
