Sedin will miss at least the next three games and could be out until after the All Star break. With Sedin out, Jared McCann is expected to skate on the Canucks top line between Daniel Sedin and Jannik Hansen.

Sedin was forced to leave Sunday’s game after being hit from behind by Mikhail Grabovski. Sedin spoke to the media following the game and said that it isn’t going to be a week-to-week thing, but he is questionable for Tuesday’s game in New York.

Despite missing yesterday's practice and this morning's gameday skate, Sedin will be in the lineup against the Hurricanes. Henrik has goals in back-to-back games and has a total of 10 points (4G / 6A) in eight games. It has been a nice start for the Sedin's, who appear to be a back on track after an off-year.

Updating an earlier report: John Tortorella said he expects to have Sedin back in his lineup tomorrow. Sedin has missed the last four games but will likely be centering a line with Chris Higgins and Nicklas Jensen on his wings Saturday. This does not matter much to the Canucks, but could mean a lot to fantasy owners. Henrik was dropped in 11% of Yahoo! leagues, so take a peek for his availability.

However, with Henrik's recent injury, their playoff chances take another hit. Monitor his status in the next 24 hours, but for now consider him day-to-day.

Sedin had been in Sweden dealing with a family matter, so we likely won't know until closer to puck-drop if he will be in the lineup tonight. If he does play, expect him to skate on a line with his brother and Alex Burrows.

There is no word on whether or not Sedin will be available for Wednesday's clash with the Blues. Monitor his status during tomorrow's morning skate. Sedin has missed eight of the last 10 games with a rib/finger injury (also held him out of the Olympics).

The Vancouver Canucks captain has been dealing with a suspected rib injury and team coach John Tortorella said on Thursday morning that Sedin would not play against the Canadiens in Montreal on Thursday night nor against the Maple Leafs in Toronto on Saturday. The Swedish media outlet Aftonbladet report said Thursday afternoon that Sedin is definitely out, quoting the Canuck directly. It is a blow for Sweden, a medal contender, given that Sedin had been set to centre the country’s top line, with his twin brother Daniel and Boston Bruins forward Loui Eriksson.
