Compher has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but will play Wednesday in Pittsburgh. Compher has one goal in two games while playing 14:41 ATOI to start 2019-20.

Compher is set to miss his third straight game and he has been moved to IR because Ian Cole (hip) is set to make his season debut on Monday and they needed to open up a roster spot.

Compher missed Wednesday’s practice and head coach Jared Bednar told reporters that he hasn’t skated in four days. Compher will be replaced by Colin Wilson, who will make his season debut on the third line vs. the Bruins.

Compher set career-highs in goals (16), assists (16) and points (32) in 66 games last season. Compher averaged 17:29 TOI/gm but carried a -4.1 relative CorsiFor% but will likely get bumped down the depth chart following the addition of Nazem Kadri this summer. There’s no word on when Compher suffered the injury, but the young forward is expected to miss some time. With Compher out, Tyson Jost should move into Colorado’s top-6 for the foreseeable future.
