Campbell has missed the last eight games with a lower-body injury but returning as the backup on Friday, suggests that he'll be ready to start Saturday. Campbell has been excellent in his limited starts in 2021, going 3-0-0 with a 1.33 GAA and .951 SV%.
Campbell has been out since January 24th with a leg injury but will accompany the team out west. Campbell told reporters that he’s “feeling good and ready to go,” so it sounds like he could stat Saturday in Edmonton. In two starts this season, Campbell has gone 2-0-0 while stopping 48 of 52 shots (.923 SV%).
Campbell was shaken up late in Sunday's win over the Flames after Matthew Tkachuk landed on his leg. Head coach Sheldon Keefe delivered the bad news on Tuesday, announcing that his No.2 netmidner will miss a couple of "weeks." With Campbell out, Michael Hutchinson will serve as Frederik Andersen's backup for the foreseeable future.
