Skille has been out since February 18th, but will be back in the lineup tonight in Chicago. Skille isn’t a fantasy asset, given he has just seven points (4G / 3A) in 52 games this season. He will replace Markus Granlund in the lineup, who is out for the year after undergoing wrist surgery.
Skille, 29, appeared in four preseason games during his professional tryout with the Canucks. Skill is coming off of 14 points (8G / 6A) in 74 games with the Avalanche last season.
Skille had one goal and one assist in five preseason games on a tryout with the Avalanche. It was enough to earn him a roster spot and he could be in the lineup for their season opener.
Skille, 28, had just six goals and two assists in 45 games with the Blue Jackets last season. Skille has amassed 61 points (30G / 31A) in 239 career NHL games between the Blackhawks, Panthers and Blue Jackets.
Skille suffered the shoulder injury on February 17th against the Flyers. He will undergo surgery and it will end his regular season. The Blue Jackets have had some crazy injury issues this season and Skille is the latest one to go down.
Skille has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but should be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Wild. He has recorded five goals and two assists for seven points with 16 penalty minutes in 35 games this season.
Skille, 27, suffered a lower body injury on January 9 against Toronto and is expected to miss two weeks from the time of the injury. They placed him IR to make room to recall Josh Anderson from Springfield (AHL).
Skille will miss “a couple of weeks, at least,” Richards said. He suffered the injury in the second or third period of last night’s game. He exited early in the third period and did not return. Left wing Corey Tropp will replace Skille in the lineup tonight vs. the New York Islanders. Jeremy Morin will move into Skille’s spot on the right side of the third line.
Skille was injured in a head-first collision with the boards on Saturday. With Skille sidelined, Adam Cracknell will draw back into the lineup.
Skille, 26, has tallied two goals, two penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating in seven appearances with Columbus. He has also recorded two goals and one assist and a plus-1 rating in six games with Springfield.
Skille recorded two goals on 10 shots in six games during his most recent call-up. With several Blue Jackets getting ready to come off of IR, they have returned Skille to the AHL.
Brandon Dubinsky (foot) is out tonight, so Skille will get the call. Skille has has appeared in one game for the Blue Jackets this season. In six games with Springfield he tallied two goals and a single assist. He is not fantasy relevant, having scored just 20 goals and 49 points in 179 career NHL games.
Skille's career had a lot of potential but it still hasn't taken off with Chicago or Florida. He may have an opportunity with Columbus but don't expect anything out the gate.
Skille missed the Panthers last five games with an upper-body injury. He will return to the Panthers lineup on Saturday vs. the Capitals.
