Jeff Deslauriers News

Signed this summer largely because of a goaltending situation that had deteriorated in Syracuse, Jeff Deslauriers is showing himself to be a potentially solid insurance policy.

Deslauriers could see NHL action this season should Jonas Hiller or Dan Ellis get hurt. After losing 28 of 48 starts in 2009-2010, JDD was banished to the AHL by the lowly Oilers. He holds a very good chance at seeing some action with the Ducks at some point this year.

Jeff Deslauriers time in the Oilers system has come to an end as he signs a two year deal with Anaheim.

Deslauriers is still 3rd on the depth chart behind Hiller and Ellis so don't count on him unless injuries attack the Ducks goaltending situation again.
