Ericsson took a stick off of the face on Sunday and the injury was serious enough for him to land on IR. The Red Wings used the roster spot to call-up Brian Lashoff from Grand Rapids (AHL).
Ericsson played just 9:09 TOI before leaving Thursday's win over the Jets with an undisclosed ailment. Madison Bowey was called up from Grand Rapids (AHL) on Friday morning, which indicates that Ericsson will not be available in Montreal.
