Rochester added to its team depth on Monday as Buffalo signed Josh Dunne to a two-year, two-way contract. The 25-year-old last appeared in the NHL in 2022-23 and has no points in 14 games of experience under his belt. In 2023-24 he had two goals and seven points in 25 games played with Cleveland (AHL).

Dunne spent most of the season with Cleveland (AHL), where he tallied 20 goals and 17 assists (37 points) in 65 games. He appeared in eight NHL games this season and 14 total in his career, but has yet to record a point with the Blue Jackets.

He will be looking to pick up his first career NHL point after failing to get any in a brief six game showing with the Blue Jackets back in 2020-21.
Dunne signed a two-year, entry-level contract in March 2021 and appeared in six NHL games with the Blue Jackets in 2022. His two-way contract suggests he'll be a fringe roster player for the Blue Jackets again in 2022-23.
