Josh Mahura News

Mahura has not played since November 16th and will have to wait a little longer, despite being cleared from a lower-body injury, as he will not return to the lineup on Tuesday. Mahura was a regular in the lineup before Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad returned from injuries and will likely have a tough time drawing back in as long as their defensive core is healthy.

Mahura left the Panthers' game Thursday vs. Los Angeles after just six shifts and 5:04 TOI due to a lower-body and has been placed on the inured reserve Friday. The 25-year-old stay-at-home defensemen is in his second full season with the cats and has five assists, 15 SOG, eight PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 16 games prior to his injury.

Mahura has four goals, seven assists, 59 SOG, 20 PIMs and a +13 plus/minus through 54 games in his first season in Florida and has earned himself a one-year contract extension.

Mahura spent the entire 2022 campaign with the Ducks, scoring three goals with four assists (seven points) in 38 games. The 24-year-old blueliner has a chance to be an immediate everyday blueliner with the Panthers, as he'll battle Matt Kiersted for playing time, most likely on the third pair with Radko Gudas.

Mahura has been a healthy scratch for three of the last four games but will replace Simon Benoit in the lineup on Thursday. Mahura has one goal and two assists in his last 10 games.

Mahura has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury but will replace Josh Manson (upper-body) in the lineup on Monday. Mahura has scored one goal with one assist in 14 games this season.

Mahura was a healthy scratch on Monday but will replace Josh Manson (lower-body) on Wednesday. Mahura has had a solid campaign so far, posting one goal and two assists in seven games.

With Erik Gudbranson getting hurt on Friday both Mahura and Brendan Guhle were recalled from San Diego prior to today's game in Buffalo. One or both of them figure to draw into the lineup. For Mahura, he has four points (1G / 3A) in 11 NHL games and 13 points (3G / 10A) in 31 AHL games this season.

Mahura played in three of the last four games with the Ducks but swaps spots with Jacob Larsson. The 21-year-old blueliner has four points (1G / 3A) in 11 NHL games and two assists in 10 AHL games in 2019-20.

Mahura was a healthy scratch for the last two games and was pushed to the AHL by Hampus Lindholm's return. The 21-year-old defenseman has four points in eight NHL games and one assist in seven AHL games.

Mahura has played in four straight games but played a season-low 11:24 TOI on Saturday and will be replaced by Jacob Larsson on Monday night.

Mahura has failed to record a point in six AHL games this season but is expected to replace Brendan Guhle in the lineup on Tuesday. Mahura had one goal and four assists in 17 games with the Ducks a season ago.

Mahura has split his campaign between the AHL and NHL. Mahura has nine points (1G / 8A) in 14 games with San Diego and five points (1G / 4A) in 17 games with Anaheim.

Mahura was sent down on Monday, likely a paper move to save some money, but returns to the Ducks and is expected to be in the lineup on Wednesday. Mahura has just one assist while averaging 16:40 TOI/gm in six games with the Ducks this season.
