The Hurricanes have sent Justin Shugg back to Charlotte (AHL).

Shugg, 22, did not record a point and had two penalty minutes in three games with Carolina during the first recall of his career. He heads back to Charlotte, where he has nine goals and two assists (11 points) in 17 games.

The Hurricanes have recalled Justin Shugg from Charlotte (AHL).

Shugg, 22, was a fourth round pick (105th overall) in 2010. He has never played in an NHL game, but is in his fourth season in the AHL. He has nine goals and two assists (11 points) in 17 games with Charlotte this season.
