Landon Ferraro News

The Wild have signed Landon Ferraro to a two-year deal worth $1.4M ($700K AAV).

Ferraro, 25, had some strong years in Grand Rapids (AHL) as a part of the Red Wings organization, but has been less successful in the NHL since. In 2016-17, the winger had 15 points (7G / 8A) in 22 games with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) and should start this season in Iowa.

The Blues signed Landon Ferraro to a one-year, two-way deal.

Ferraro, 24, appeared in a total of 68 NHL games last season with the Red Wings and the Bruins. He was originally drafted by the Red Wings, but they lost him on waivers to Boston, where he recorded 10 points (5G / 5A) in 58 games with the Bruins. Ferraro will look to crack the Blues roster in training camp this fall.

Ferraro (knee) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Ferraro was claimed off of waivers from Detroit on Sunday and could make his Bruins debut tonight in Toronto. Ferraro has been sidelined with a knee injury and this would also be his return from that injury. The Bruins claimed him because they need help on the penalty kill.

The Red Wings have recalled Landon Ferraro from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Ferraro, 23, has registered 27 goals and 15 assists (42 points) in 70 games with Grand Rapids this season. His recall could be to give Mike Babcock another offensive option with Justin Abdelkader (hand) out, or it could be because Pavel Datsyuk was banged up in Sunday’s loss to the Capitals.

The Red Wings have recalled Landon Ferraro from Grand Rapids (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Justin Abdelkader was injured in Sunday's loss to the Blackhawks, so Ferraro has been recalled and will likely dress on Tuesday vs. Toronto. Ferraro, 22, is the son of former NHLer and current TSN broadcaster Ray Ferraro. He has 13 goals and 15 assists (28 points) in 60 games with Grand Rapids this season. Should he be in the lineup tomorrow, it would be his NHL debut.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings assigned eight players today to the Grand Rapids Griffins: forwards Chris Conner, Joakim Andersson and Landon Ferraro; defensemen Doug Janik, Garnet Exelby and Brian Lashoff; and goaltenders Joey MacDonald and Jordan Pearce.

No immediate fantasy hockey value in the AHL.
