Lessio (lower-body) will not play Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Lessio suffered a lower-body injury after being hit by Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey on Thursday. He will come out of the lineup on Saturday, being replacing by Jacob De La Rose.

After spending the first four months in the AHL, Lessio will make his Canadiens debut tonight. Less has registered 10 goals and 11 assists (21 points) in 42 games between Springfield and St. John’s (AHL).

The Canadiens have recalled Lucas Lessio from St. John’s (AHL).

Since being acquired from Arizona, Lessio has nine points (3G / 6A) in 18 games with St. John’s. There is no word whether or not he will make his Canadiens debut on Tuesday—he comes in with two goals and three assists in 29 career NHL games.

Lessio, 26, had no points in three games with the Coyotes in his first recall of the season. While with Portland he has totalled nine goals and seven assists (16 points) in 26 games.

The Coyotes have assigned Lucas Lessio to Portland (AHL).

The 21-year-old Lessio has appeared in three games with the Coyotes this season, totaling two penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-foot-1, 212-pound forward has recorded 5-3-8 and 14 PIM in 14 games with the Pirates this season.
