Pysyk collapsed playing pick-up basketball; taken by ambulance to hospital.

Pysyk, who was sent down to Rochester yesterday, had to be rushed to hospital today after collapsing during a pick-up basketball game. Pysyk, who many believe is NHL ready has a bright future ahead of him, so hopefully this is nothing serious.

The Sabres have reassigned Mark Pysyk to Rochester (AHL).

Pysyk had the look of an NHL defenseman in three games during his call-up. He registered one goal and one assist with a plus-4 rating. He heads back to Rochester for now, but expect to see him back soon.

The Sabres have recalled Mark Pysyk from Rochester (AHL).

Pysyk, 23, has scored three times with 13 assists (16 points in 50 games with Rochester this season. He had one goal in four games with the Sabres earlier in the season.

The Sabres have recalled Mark Pysyk from Rochester (AHL).

Pysyk, 22, has one goal and nine assists (10 points) in 28 games with Rochester this season. He has been recalled as insurance for Tyler Myers, who is questionable for tonight’s game because of a lower-body injury. Pysyk has 12 points (2G / 10A) in 63 career NHL games.

Pysyk, 22, has registered six points (1G / 5A) in 42 games with the Sabres this season. While in the AHL, Pysyk has picked up 12 points (1G / 11A) in 27 games. He will play tonight if Christian Ehrhoff (ear) is unable to suit up.

Pysyk had no goals and four assists with a minus-11 rating in 31 games with the Sabres this season. He was a healthy scratch on Saturday and will be replaced by Chad Ruhwedel who is coming up from Rochester.
