Dumba (lower-body) was activated from IR and is expected to play on Tuesday.

Dumba missed the Wild's last two games before they were shut down due to COVID-19 but will likely play Tuesday in Los Angeles. With a few defensemen still on the COVID-19 list, Dumba and Ryan Suter appear to be the only regulars on the blueline for Tuesday, so expect him to play a ton of minutes against the Kings.

The Wild have placed Matt Dumba (lower-body) on IR.

Dumba missed Sunday's rematch vs. the Avalanche and was placed on IR on Monday. Dumba is expected to miss an extended period of time, so this move frees up a roster spot for the Wild to recall some reinforcements from the taxi squad.

Dumba will miss a minimum of three months after undergoing surgery for a ruptured right pectoral muscle.

How Dumba suffered the injury remains a mystery but the Wild are holding out hope that Dumba will be able to return later this season and be ready for the playoffs. Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin have taken on larger roles with Dumba sidelined.

Matt Dumba
Dumba will undergo surgery to repair an upper-body injury and will miss a “significant” amount of time.

Dumba was hurt against the Flames on December 15th and the injury will require surgery next week. This is a massive blow to the Wild blue line and fantasy teams alike. Dumba was having an excellent season, scoring 12 goals with 10 assists (22 points) in 32 games before getting injured. The Wild don’t have an exact timetable for his return but Dumba will be out long-term.

Matt Dumba
Dumba will miss at least one week with an upper-body injury.

Dumba suffered an upper-body injury against the Flames on Saturday and head coach Bruce Boudreau confirmed that he will miss a minimum of one week. Jared Spurgeon is expected to take on a much larger role while Dumba is out.

Dumba (illness) will return to the Wild lineup on Friday.

Dumba missed the last two games, including last night’s contest with an illness, but is set to go on the tail-end of the Wild’s Florida back-to-back. Dumba is expected to replace Gustav Olofsson in the lineup and enters play with 25 points (7G / 18A) in 59 games this season.

Matt Dumba
Dumba (illness) will miss his second straight game.

Dumba is battling an illness and will not play tonight in Tampa Bay. With Dumba out, Gustav Olofsson will be in the lineup for his second straight game. Dumba is also questionable for tomorrow’s game in Florida.

Matt Dumba
Dumba (lower-body) is expected to return to the Wild lineup on Tuesday.

Dumba missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but will replace Nate Prosser in the lineup tonight vs. the Blackhawks. Dumba has registered seven goals and 17 assists (24 points) in 54 games this season.

Matt Dumba
Dumba (lower-body) is day-to-day and hopes to skate in the next day or two.

Dumba missed Sunday's game vs. the Red Wings because of a lower-body injury that he suffered when he crashed into the boards on Friday. Head coach Bruce Boudreau called him day-to-day and said he hopes to skate on Tuesday or Wednesday, so his status for Tuesday's game is in doubt.

Matt Dumba
Dumba will be a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Dumba has one goal on five shots and a minus-2 rating in three games this season but it looks like will be be replaced by Mike Reilly in the lineup on Thursday. Don’t expect the young defenseman to sit for very long.

The Wild have recalled Mathew Dumba from Iowa (AHL); expected to play vs. the Flames.

Dumba, 20, who played his junior hockey in Red Deer, Alberta, is expected to play tonight in nearby Calgary. Dumba has five points (2G / 3A) in 23 games with Minnesota. With his time in Iowa, he has collected 14 points (5G / 9A) in 20 games.

Matt Dumba
The Wild have recalled Mathew Dumba from Iowa (AHL).

Dumba, 20, had one goal and three assists in 20 games with the Wild before being sent down. In Iowa he scored four goals with eight assists for 12 points in 17 games. Expect him to be in the lineup tomorrow in Buffalo.

Matt Dumba
Dumba to start the season on the Wild's top power-play unit.

Dumba, 20, played 13 games with the Wild last season before being sent back to juniors. He has cracked the Wild opening day roster and will play on the third pair with Christian Folin, but will also lineup on the top power-play unit next to Ryan Suter. If he can lock this spot down, he makes for a great pick-up and sleeper candidate. The second-year D-man has a ton of offensive talent, evidenced by his 24 points (8G / 16A) in 26 games with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) last season.

Matt Dumba
The Wild have loaned Mathew Dumba back to Portland (WHL) for the remainder of the season.

Dumba's demotion will allow him to develop at further at the junior level. He did not exactly dominate the World Junior Championships, so his return to the WHL is likely a good idea for the 19-year-old's development into an everyday NHL defenseman.

Matt Dumba
Minnesota Wild rookie Matt Dumba has been invited to Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp for the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championship. He is one 25 players invited to the camp.

Dumba is the only NHL player on Team Canada's World Junior roster and he has been loaned to the team by the Wild. Dumba has been invited to Canada’s National Junior Team selection camp for the last two seasons, and was the final cut both years, that won't happen this year...

Matt Dumba
Dumba in; Nate Prosser out.

Dumba was scratched in six of the past seven games. Prosser has played well, but the Wild needs to give a 19-year-old a chance to play or it’ll need to eventually make the decision if it needs to return him to Red Deer despite already hitting that 10-game mark to trigger the first of his three-year deal.
