Nashville has recalled Matthew Murray from Milwaukee (AHL).

Juuse Saros had a maintenance day, resulting in Murray being recalled from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). Murray's call-up was most likely precautionary as Saros isn't expected to miss any time. The 26-year-old Murray spent most of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL, posting a 3.02 GAA and .896 SV% in 31 games (14-15-2) with the Texas Stars.

After three seasons in Texas (AHL) and Dallas, Matthew Murray has signed a one-year, two-way contract to provide Nashville with some goaltending depth. The 26-year-old has four NHL appearances to his name but spent the majority of 2023-24 with Texas, posting a 3.02 GAA and .896 SV%.

Murray has been recalled from Texas (AHL) and will back up on Wednesday.

Murray was recalled to backup Jake Oettinger on Wednesday as Scott Wedgewood will be away from the team for the birth of his child. The 26-year-old Murray played one game for Dallas earlier this season and recorded his first career shutout.

Murray has been loaned back to Texas (AHL) on Wednesday.

Potentially a paper transaction as the Stars do not play until Thursday, Murray has been loaned back to the Texas Stars (AHL). Scott Wedgewood's return appears to be on the horizon, but if he can't suit up as the Stars' backup on Thursday, expect Murray to be recalled ahead of their game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Stars have recalled Matt Murray from Texas (AHL).

After a sizeable stint with the Dallas Stars, Murray was sent down to Texas (AHL) as Jake Oettinger (lower-body) finally made his return to the lineup, only to be recalled once again as Scott Wedgewood was injured in his previous outing. Murray played one game with Dallas, an impressive 23-save shutout victory over the Minnesota Wild less than two weeks ago.

Murray has been reassigned to the Texas Stars (AHL).

Murray returned to backing up Scott Wedgewood on Wednesday after recording a shutout on Monday in his season debut against the Minnesota Wild. Murray has been involved in paper transactions daily since being recalled from the Texas Stars (AHL) after Jake Oettinger was injured as part of salary cap gymnastics. It is unclear if Murray's most recent demotion is permanent or if he will be recalled again ahead of their next contest as Oettinger nears his return.

Murray will start Monday vs. Minnesota.

After playing in 12 straight games, and struggling lately, Scott Wedgewood will finally get a night off on Monday as Murray will tend the twice for the Stars in his first game of the season. Murray has been with the team since mid-December when Jake Oettinger suffered a lower-body injury. The undrafted 25-year-old Murray has a 2.86 GAA and .908 SV% in 13 games (8-4-1) with the Texas Stars this season. The Stars have lost three straight (0-2-1), being outscored 13-10, but are -127 road favourites against a Minnesota Wild club without their leading scorer, Kirill Kaprizov.

Matthew Murray has been recalled from the Texas Stars (AHL) under emergency exceptions.

With Jake Oettinger sidelined due to a lower-body injury, Murray has been recalled and will serve as the backup to Scott Wedgewood. Murray has a 2.86 GAA and .908 SV% in 13 games (8-4-1) with the Texas Stars of the AHL this season. A concrete timeline for Oettinger's return to action is not yet available but it is unlikely that Murray will see much action between the pipes in Dallas unless he is with the club for an extended period.

The Stars signed Matt Murray to a one-year, two-way contract.

Murray played most of the 2023 season in the AHL, where he went 18-10-5 with a 2.37 GAA, .911 SV% and three shutouts with the Texas Stars. However, he also got his first taste of the NHL, going 1-2-0 with a 3.39 GAA and .844 SV% in Dallas. With Jake Oettinger and Scott Wedgewood still under contract for the 2024 season, Murray will most likely start the season in the AHL.
