Pacioretty missed the entire round-robin but joined the Golden Knights in the bubble in Edmonton over the weekend and should be in the lineup for Game 1 on Tuesday. Pacioretty had a terrific 2002 season, scoring 32 goals with 34 assists (66 points) in 71 games.
Pacioretty is battling what was described as a "minor" injury but staying back in Vegas for now makes it seem a little more serious. Head coach Pete DeBoer said that Pacioretty will join the team when he is "healthy and available" but there's no indication how long that will be.
Pacioretty has missed the last seven games with an undisclosed injury but appears set to return to Golden Knights lineup on Friday. Pacioretty will skate on the third line with Cody Eakin and Ryan Carpenter if he plays.
Pacioretty was forced to leave Monday’s game in Columbus with an undisclosed injury and was moved to IR on Wednesday. Brandon Pirri was recalled from the AHL to take Pacioretty’s spot on the roster.
With Paul Stastny coming back into the Golden Knights lineup on Friday, Pacioretty may sit as the healthy scratch. “We’ve got to scratch somebody tonight and we’ll decide tonight. ... We’ll know before warmups,” head coach Gerard Gallant told reporters.
Pacioretty has been absolutely red-hot as of late, scoring eight goals with three assists (11 points) in his last eight games. Pacioretty is fighting a sickness and is officially listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game vs. the Capitals. Keep an eye on his status as the Golden Knights hit the ice for warmups at 9:30 pm.
Pacioretty has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury that he suffered vs.the Lightning on October 26th. Pacioretty will be back on a line with Erik Haula and Alex Tuch. He has just two goals in 10 games, but it is not for a lack of trying—the winger has 26 shots on goal, so that 7.7 SH% should improve closer to his career mark of 11.0%.
Pacioretty has been sidelined for the last four games, but could play Tuesday in Toronto. Pacioretty has had a slow start to the season, scoring just two goals on 26 shots in 10 games before getting hurt. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate.
