Pacioretty was crunched into the boards by Ducks’ defenseman Clayton Stoner on Thursday night. Pacioretty left the game and did not return because he was sent to the hospital for precautionary reasons. There was no update on his status post game, so his availability for Saturday’s game is unknown. Consider him questionable until a detailed update is released.
Pacioretty was unable to put virtually any weight on his leg as he was helped off. This would be a big blow to the USA Olympic team if Pacioretty's injury is as serious as it originally looks.
Pacioretty has elevated his game lately registering nine goals and one assist in his last 11 games, after scoring just twice with two assists in his first 12 games. He should be activated on Thursday vs. a Flyers team playing on the tail-end of a back-to-back.
