Kostka (concussion) will play on Thursday.

Kostka has missed the last three games after suffering a concussion when he was knocked out by a Douglas Murray elbow on March 1st. Murray was suspended for three games and Kostka missed three games, so that seems fair. Kostka will replace Sami Salo who is out with an minor injury.

The Blackhawks have recalled Mike Kostka from Rockford (AHL).

Kostka has not played since October 19 due to a foot injury. He was sent to Rockford for conditioning but is now back with the big club. The Hawks are pretty deep on the blueline so he likely won't be in the lineup on a nightly basis. He had just eight assists in 35 games with the Maple Leafs last season.

Ryan Malone (foot) was put on injured reserve with what is believed to be a chipped bone in his foot, sustained blocking a shot Friday against the Ducks.

Malone had already been ruled out for the weekend, so his placement on IR is no surprise. It allowed the Lightning to recall right wing Dana Tyrell from AHL Syracuse. If Malone does have a chipped bone, he will miss more than just the weekend. Monitor his status as the weekend approaches.
