Vecchione, 29, has scored 13 goals with 25 assists (38 points) in 46 AHL games this season. Vecchione has appeared in one game with the Capitals and two NHL games since 2017.
Vecchione is a five-year AHL veteran, who has two career NHL games under his belt (both in 2017). The 29-year-old has scored 12 goals with 24 assists (36 points) in 43 games with Hershey this season. He could make his Capitals debut on Tuesday with Lars Eller in COVID-19 protocol.
Vecchione, 24, signed with the Flyers after posting 63 points (29G / 34A) in 38 games at Union College and should be a big part of the Flyers’ bottom-6 in 2017-18. He has shown the ability to score in college, but likely won’t be a big contributor in his first full NHL season.
