Schmidt has not played yet this season because of a preseason suspension, but will return in a huge capacity on November 18th in Edmonton. During his first season with Vegas, Schmidt posted career-highs in goals (5), assists (31), points (36), shots (103), PPP (11) and time-on-ice (22:14 TOI/GM).

Schmidt has missed the last four games with an undisclosed injury but will play vs. the Sabres this afternoon. Schmidt, who has 30 points (5G / 25A) in 63 games this season, will skate with Brayden McNabb on the top-pairing.
Schmidt will miss his fourth straight game but will join the team in Buffalo on Friday and is expected to re-join the lineup on Saturday. With Schmidt still out, Brad Hunt will remain in the lineup in Detroit.
There’s no word on what happened to Schmidt but his status for Friday’s game appears to be in question, according to head coach Gerrard Gallant. The Golden Knights have also lost Luca Sbisa, who will be sidelined long-term with an undisclosed injury of his own.
Schmidt has occasionally come out of the lineup in favour of Taylor Chorney this season and tonight will be one of those nights. Schmidt has 14 points (1G / 13A) in 51 games this season and will likely draw back into the lineup on Friday.
Schmidt suffered a lower-body injury on Sunday and was held out of a scrimmage on Monday. Schmidt is day-to-day, but doesn’t appear to be in any danger of missing any regular season time.
Schmidt, 23, had four points (1G / 3A) in 39 games with the Capitals in 2014-15. In 19 games with Hershey he collected nine points (3G / 6A). He signed a one-way contract which suggests he might take Mike Green’s spot on the team. Green is expected to test free agency on July 1st.
Schmidt appeared in six games under emergency conditions. He scored one goal and was a minus-4 over that span.

Schmidt was sent down to Hershey on Saturday and fractured his scapula in his first game back with the team. It was a rough weekend for the 23-year-old.

Schmidt is expected to make his NHL debut tomorrow with John Erskine out with an upper-body injury. He has one goal in one game with Hershey.
