Originally a third-round pick by the Coyotes in the 2017 draft, Schnarr has spent the last four seasons in the AHL, making stops in Tuscon, Binghamton, and Utica before joining the Canadiens organization prior to the 2021-22 season. He registered three goals and four assists in 27 games with Laval (AHL) this season.

Nate Schnarr has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings for Frederic Allard.
The Canadiens have signed Nate Schnarr to a one-year, two-way contract.
Montreal acquired Schnarr from the Devils in March and he had 10 points (4G / 6A) in 20 games after joining the Laval Rocket (AHL). The former third-round pick (2017) has yet to make an NHL appearance and finished 2022 with 36 points (17G / 19A) in 63 AHL games.

The Devils have acquired Nate Schnarr, Kevin Bahl, Nick Merkley, a 2020 first-round pick and 2021 conditional third-round pick from the Coyotes for Taylor Hall and Blake Speers.
Schnarr was a third-round pick (No.75 overall) in 2017 and turned pro this year after four years with the Guelph Storm (OHL). The 20-year-old centre had nine points (1G / 8A) in 22 AHL games with Tucson (AHL) but now is expected to report to Binghamton (AHL).
