Montreal has signed Nathan Clurman to a one-year, two-way contract.

Clurman made his NHL debut last season, playing one game with the Pittsburgh Penguins, and has signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Montreal Canadiens. The 27-year-old Clurman scored 11 points (2G / 9A) in 31 games from the blueline with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL) last season.

Clurman made his NHL debut on December 29th at 26 years old and picked up two PIMs and four SOG across 11:05 TOI before being assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on Wednesday. The defenseman returns to the minors, where he a goal, five points and 10 PIMs in 18 games played before his call-up.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) added a depth piece on Tuesday after Pittsburgh signed Nathan Clurman to a one-year contract worth $775,000. The 26-year-old has yet to make an NHL appearance but has spent the last three and a half seasons between Colorado's AHL and ECHL teams.
