Clurman was a sixth-round pick, 161st overall, of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He has yet to play an NHL games. The 26-year-old defenseman has five points (1G / 4A) in 16 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL).
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) added a depth piece on Tuesday after Pittsburgh signed Nathan Clurman to a one-year contract worth $775,000. The 26-year-old has yet to make an NHL appearance but has spent the last three and a half seasons between Colorado's AHL and ECHL teams.
Clurman had three goals with 12 assists (15 points) in 57 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) during the 2023 season. The 2016 sixth-round pick has spent time in the ECHL and AHL over the last two seasons.
