It was reported yesterday by Elliotte Friedman that Beaudin was unhappy with his AHL minutes in Laval (AHL) and has agreed to mutually part ways with Montreal. The 24-year-old defensemen was Chicago's 2018 first round pick (27th overall) and has struggled with Laval this season, producing only six assists, six PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in 16 games prior to the mutual parting.

Beaudin was a first-round pick in 2018 who has six points (2G / 4A) in 22 career NHL games with the Blackhawks. He started 2022-23 in the AHL, where he has one assist in three games. He'll report to Laval (AHL).
Beaudin was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Stillman in the lineup in Carolina. Beaudin has two goals and four assists (six points) in 16 games this season.
Beaudin was a healthy scratch vs. the Lighting on Tuesday but will draw back into the lineup Thursday vs. the Panthers. Beaudin will replace Adam Boqvist, who is out for the year with a broken wrist.
It will be Beaudin's first NHL games since March 28th as he replaces Calvin de Haan, who is day-to-day with a hip injury. Beaudin has scored two goals with three assists in 14 games this season.
Beaudin returned to the lineup on Thursday but was held pointless and without a shot in 12:46 TOI. Ian Mitchell will replace him on the Blackhawks blueline.
Beaudin had five points (2G / 3A) in 11 games with the Blackhawks before being demoted to the AHL. The 21-year-old had six assists in four games with Rockford (AHL) before being promoted back to the NHL on Tuesday. He'll replace Lucas Carlsson on the blueline on Thursday.
Beaudin joins a growing list of Blackhawks in COVID-19 protocol and will keep him out for Sunday's rematch vs. the Blue Jackets. With Beaudin out, Reese Johnson will make his NHL debut.
