Meloche was a healthy scratch for two of the last three games but will replace Ryan Merkley on Tuesday. Meloche has two goals and four assists (six points) in 49 games this season.
Meloche has been a regular for the Sharks recently but with Mario Ferraro back and Ryan Merkley drawing into the lineup on Tuesday, Meloche will be scratched vs. the Oilers.
Meloche left Thursday's game vs. the Islanders in the first period and did not return. Meloche was ruled out on Friday and it looks like Radim Simek will replace him vs. Boston.
Meloche has spent most of the season in the AHL, posting eight assists in 27 games. He had one assist in six NHL games earlier in the season and will replace Christian Jaros in the lineup on Wednesday.
Meloche played just 5:43 TOI in the season opener, which was his NHL debut. The 23-year-old defenseman will be replaced by Jacob Middleton on Saturday afternoon.
Meloche did not play a game during his call-up and returns to the AHL, where he has just six assists in 38 games this season.
Meloche is a former second-round pick of Colorado and is coming off of a 21-point (6G / 15A) season with the Colorado Eagles (AHL). He will report to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).
