Pavelec has been sidelined by a knee injury since February 7th and will miss a minimum of two weeks after having his knee scoped on Monday. With Pavelec out, Connor Hellebuyck will likely start nearly every game until he is back.

Pavelec skated by himself on Monday morning, which is the first step in his recovery from a concussion. Pavelec has missed the last two games and likely won’t be available this week.
Pavelec allowed three goals on 14 shots before exiting yesterday’s loss vs. the Wild with a lower-body injury. After the game head coach Paul Maurice did not have an update on Pavelec, but expect Connor Hellebuyck to start on Friday regardless of Pavelec’s status.
Pavelec surrendered four goals on 27 shots in the Jets’ loss in Colorado on Saturday. Despite allowing three-plus goals in all seven of his starts since being called-up, Pavelec will start for the eighth time in nine games. He has a 3.34 GAA and .895 SV% so far and will be in tough tonight vs. Minnesota.
Pavelec allowed three goals on 42 shots in the Jets’ win in Dallas on Thursday. Pavelec has won two in a row while allowing a combined six goals on 69 shots (.913 SV%). Pavelec has won four of his six starts since being called-up, but has allowed at least three goals (3.21 GAA) in each of those six starts.
Pavelec allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Jets’ win in St. Louis on Tuesday. Pavelec has won three of his five starts since being called-up, but has allowed at least three goals in all five starts. He hasn’t been great, but the Jets are averaging a whopping 4.20 goals per game in front of him.
Pavelec allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Sharks last Tuesday. Connor Hellebuyck started on Thursday, but they’ll come back to Pavelec after the All-Star break. Pavelec has posted a 3.31 GAA and .894 SV% since returning to the Jets and will be in tough in St. Louis this evening.

He has allowed a combined six goals on 70 shots (.914 SV%) and will make his third consecutive start tonight. Anaheim comes in having won five of their last seven.
Pavelec allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Jets’ win over the Coyotes on Wednesday. Pavelec allowed a goal on the first shot that he faced, but was able to settle in to earn his first win of the season. Despite a solid season debut, Pavelec draws a tougher test this afternoon with Vladimir Tarasenko and the Blues in town.
Pavelec was sent to the Manitoba Moose (AHL) at the start of the season and was recalled on Tuesday to try and patch up the Jets’ crease. The veteran netminder has gone 8-7-2 with a 2.78 GAA and .917 SV% in 18 games with Manitoba and tonight he makes his season debut vs. the Coyotes. Pavelec has appeared in 371 career NHL games and posted a .907 career SV%.
The Jets’ duo of Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson have combined for the league’s fifth worst goals against average (3.06). The Jets have recalled Pavelec in an attempt to stop the bleeding and provide the crease with some stability. the 29-year-old has gone 8-7-2 with a 2.78 GAA and .917 SV% in 18 games with Manitoba this season. In 33 games with the Jets last year, Pavelec went 13-13-4 with a 2.78 GAA and .904 SV%.
Pavelec has been replaced by Connor Hellebuyck, who will share the crease with Michael Hutchinson to start 2016-17. Pavelec heads to Manitoba where he will likely serve as their starter and provide goaltending depth incase Hellebuyck or Hutchinson get hurt or struggle.
It was only a matter of time before Pavelec was placed on waivers. The veteran netminder is in the final year of a deal that carries a $3.9 million cap hit and he was badly outplayed by the future of the Jets’ crease, Connor Hellebuyck. They had to make room for the young netminder and Pavelec was the obvious casualty. There is little chance that he is claimed and there are rumblings that he may not report to Manitoba (AHL) if he does in fact clear.
Pavelec allowed one goal on 29 shots in the Jets win over the Wild on Sunday. Michael Hutchinson started on Tuesday, but they’re going back to Pavelec tonight. Pavelec has gone 3-0-2 with a 1.96 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout in his last five starts. He draws a tough matchup against a Sharks team that has won four of their last five games.
Pavelec allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Jets loss in Philadelphia on Monday. Pavelec was 4-5-1 with a 2.51 GAA and .917 SV% in March and tonight he makes his 28th start of the season. Tonight he takes on a Blackhawks team that has surprisingly gone 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. Pavelec is 6-8-1 with a 2.46 GA and .919 SV% on the road this season.
Pavelec made 33 saves on 34 shots in the Jets win over the Kings on Thursday. Pavelec has won his last two starts while stopping 61 of 62 shots (.984 SV%). Michael Hutchinson started on Saturday, so they’ll come back to Pavelec tonight in Philly. The 28-year-old is 4-5-1 with a 3.09 GAA and .889 SV% on the road this season.
