Pavelec allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Jets 4-2 loss to the Ducks in game 1. Thursday was the first time he allowed a goal since March 4th. Tonight Pavelec will try and knot the series up at 1-1 in Anaheim. Pavelec was 10-8-5 with a 2.00 GAA and .932 SV% on the road this season.

Tonight he will try to notch his first career win against the Blackhawks—in five starts against Chicago he is 0-3-2 with a 4.58 GAA and .867 SV%.

Tonight he will get a shot at revenge vs. the Blues—he allowed a disastrous game-winning goal from outside the offensive zone in St. Louis nine days ago.

Pavelec stopped 15 of 16 shots in the Jets 2-1 win over the Lightning last Saturday. It was Pavelec’s first win since February 8th. Tonight he will make his second start against the Sharks and 17th at the MTS Centre. Pavelec has gone 7-6-3 with a 2.71 GAA and .897 SV% at home this season. He made 23 saves in a 3-0 loss in his first start vs. San Jose.

Pavelec allowed one goal on 20 shots after replacing Michael Hutchinson in the Jets loss to the Blues on Tuesday. The lone goal he gave up was a floater from outside the offensive zone that turned out to be the game-winner. It was an ugly goal and an ugly way to lose. He will have a tough time redeeming himself because of a tough matchup tonight in Tampa Bay.
