Tonight he will make his 11th start of the season and he comes in with a 5-4-1 record, 2.16 GAA and .934 SV%. He has a tough task on Friday with the Kings in town—they’ve won three in a row and sit 12-6-0 on the year.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Red Wings win in Ottawa last Saturday. Mrazek has won two of his last three starts while posting a 2.30 GAA and .920 SV%. Overall he has a 2.67 GAA and .921 SV% and he is a must-start tonight vs. a Maple Leafs team who only has two wins in 12 contests.

Mrazek made 18 saves on 20 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday. Jimmy Howard got the nod last night on home ice, so Mrazek will take the second game of the home-and-home series tonight in Ottawa. Mrazek has one two of his five starts while posting a 2.61 GAA and .922 SV%. Goaltending has not been the issue for the Red Wings—the scoring needs to pick up.

Mrazek has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .925 SV% and another performance like Saturday’s could give him more starts going forward.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Red Wings loss in Edmonton on Wednesday. Mrazek has allowed three goals in each of his three starts this season and has lost each of his last two. His .922 SV% is strong, but the Red Wings are being outshot on a regular basis. He will look to get them back into the win column tonight in Vancouver.

Mrazek has faced 43.5 shots per game in his first two starts, something the Red Wings will need to work on moving forward. He draws a nice matchup tonight as he takes on an Edmonton team who is 22nd in the NHL in scoring (2.00 G/PG).

Mrazek made 44 saves on 47 shots in the Red Wings 4-3 win over the Hurricanes last Saturday. Jimmy Howard has started three of the Red Wings first four games, but Mrazek will get the next two. The young netminder will need to bring his A-game tonight as he is expected to go head-to-head with Carey Price, who has yet to lose a game this season.

Mrazek was fantastic after being recalled from Grand Rapids last season positioned a 16-9-2 record, a 2.38 GAA and .918 SV%. Those splits earned him the nod in the postseason where he nearly led the Red Wings to a first round upset of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Mrazek will battle Jimmy Howard for starts this season, but will need a good performance tonight after Howard shutout the Maple Leafs last night.

Mrazek surrendered four goals on 27 shots in the Red Wings 5-2 loss to the Lightning in Game 6. Detroit’s defence did not play well in front of Mrazek and if it weren’t for him the game would have been out of hand early. Tonight he will look to push the Red Wings into the second round, but he will be missing Niklas Kronwall (suspended) and Marek Zidlicky (concussion) in front of him.

Mrazek stopped all 28 shots that he faced to earn his second shutout of the series in the Red Wings 4-0 win in Game 5. Mrazek has posted the fourth best GAA (1.91) and fifth ranked SV% (.937) in the playoffs. Mrazek will look to finish the Lightning off at home—he has a 1.48 GAA and .941 SV% in two starts at Joe Louis Arena.

Mrazek had another shutout going late in Game 4, but the Lightning pushed two passed him in the final six minutes and another in Overtime. He has a 2.43 GAA and .922 SV% in the first four games of the series and will need to turn in another huge performance tonight.

Mrazek stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 3-0 shutout win over the Lightning in Game 3. Mrazek struggled in Game 2, but bounced back with his first career playoff shutout. He will look to put together another great outing and give the Red Wings a 3-1 series lead heading back to Tampa Bay.

Mrazek was yanked after allowing four goals on 18 shots in two periods in the Red Wings 5-1 loss in Game 2. The series now shifts back to Detroit where Mrazek was 5-4-2 with a 2.15 GAA and .922 SV% this season. The Red Wings have struggled in front of Mrazek so far and will need to improve on home ice on Tuesday.

Mrazek was outstanding in his playoff debut. The Lightning dominated the Red Wings, but Mrazek was able to steal game 1 by stopping 44 of 46 shots. The Red Wings will look to have a better effort in game 2, but it would be hard for Mrazek to top his first NHL postseason start.
