Boucher has a great shot that helps him continue to post strong numbers in the AHL, but the NHL results still aren’t there. In 2018, the 24-year-old winger had 46 points (25G / 21A) in 45 games with Utica (AHL) but picked up just three goals and two assists in 20 games with Vancouver. He will continue to be a quality depth winger for the Canucks for at least one more season.
Boucher has collected two goals in eight games with the Canucks this season and he will draw in vs. the Coyotes with Brock Boeser likely out for the rest of the season.

The former fourth round pick (2011) had 62 goals and 33 assists (95 points) in 68 games in his final year in the OHL and had 32 points (19G / 13A) in 34 AHL games last season, showcasing his offensive ability, but he now needs to find that game at the highest level.

Boucher was sent down yesterday because the Devils needed to make room to recall Yann Danis as their backup. With Cory Schneider set to return on Friday, Danis has been reassigned and Boucher is back with the Devils.
Boucher had no points in the season opener and then he was a healthy scratch on Saturday. He will head down to Albany to get some playing time.
Boucher, 21, has scored four goals with five assists in 20 games with Albany this season. He failed to record a point in three games during his first stint with the Devils this season. He has seven points (2G / 5A) in 26 career NHL games.
