Salo had two goals, two assists, nine SOG and a +1 plus/minus through 11 games with the Islanders but will head back down to Bridgeport (AHL). In his previous time in the minors, he had two assists in four games and will be hoping to be back with New York sooner rather than later.

Salo, Cal Clutterbuck, Matt Martin and Zach Parise have been activated from COVID-19 protocol and are expected to suit up vs. the Sabres.
Salo was a second-round pick of the Islanders in 2017 and he came to North America this season after spending the last two years in the SHL. The 23-year-old blueliner has scored two goals with six assists (eight points) in 14 AHL games.
