Roope Hintz News

The Stars placed six players in COVID-19 protocol on Sunday and both Hintz and Esa Lindell were added on Monday, bringing the total to eight players. It seems likely that the Stars game on Wednesday will be postponed.

Hintz missed the last two games with a non-COVID illness but will play Friday in St. Louis. Hintz has been red-hot, picking up 17 points (11G / 6A) in his last 14 games.

Hintz missed Saturday's game in San Jose and is still dealing with his non-COVID illness, which will keep him out of the lineup on Tuesday. With Alexander Radulov (illness) and Joel Kiviranta (upper-body) also out, the Stars will call some forwards up from Texas (AHL).

Hintz's status for Saturday's game is up in the air due to a non-COVID illness. Hintz was not on the ice for the morning skate and Joel Kiviranta took reps on the top line in his absence.

Hintz sat out of the second half of the Stars' back-to-back on Tuesday but could play Thursday in Detroit. Hintz has sat out of most of the back-to-backs this season so there's a good chance he'll be back in the lineup tonight. Hintz is on an absolute heater right now, scoring 10 goals with 17 assists (27 points) in his last 19 games.

Hintz continues to battle through a lower-body injury and is considered a game-time decision for Monday's game vs. the Red Wings. Hintz enters Monday's game on a five-game point streak, scoring two goals with nine assists (11 points) over that span.

Hintz, as always will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game in Nashville. Hintz has suited up in two in a row and four of the last five games, so it seems likely that he'll play on Thursday.
