Getzlaf has missed the last five games with a groin injury, but skated on the top line with Rickard Rakell and Isac Lundestrom in Friday’s practice which suggests that he’ll be back tonight. Getzlaf has two assists in two games so far this season.
Getzlaf took part in Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s morning skate, so the Ducks have listed him as a game-time decision. Getzlaf had two assists in the season-opener but was hurt during their second game.
Getzlaf left the Saturday’s game after playing 13:03 TOI and did not return. Getzlaf wasn’t on the ice for the Ducks morning skate, which clouds his status for tonight’s meeting with the Red Wings. If Getzlaf is unavailable, Isac Lundestrom would draw in and centre Andrew Cogliano and Kiefer Sherwood.
Getzlaf suffered a lower-body injury in the third period of Saturday’s win over the Coyotes and did not return. Head coach Randy Carlyle did not have an update on Getzlaf post-game, but Getzlaf was seen favouring a leg while walking around. Consider him questionable for Monday’s game against the Red Wings.
Getzlaf has missed the last 19 games with a facial fracture but was a full participant in Sunday’s practice and will likely return to the lineup tonight. Getzlaf will skate on the top line with Rickard Rakell and Corey Perry and returns to the lineup after picking seven points (1G / 6A) in six games before getting hurt.
Getzlaf has had a tough time with injuries this season, landing on IR for the third time this month. Getzlaf is dealing with a face injury after being hit by a puck in Sunday’s win in Carolina. As a result, Getzlaf will miss at least the next three games.

Head coach Randy Carlyle said Getzlaf told him he didn’t feel comfortable on the ice and they decided it was best if he gets evaluated when they get back to Anaheim. Consider Getzlaf as day-to-day and questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Maple Leafs.
