Ryan Reaves News

Reaves was picked up from Pittsburgh midseason last year, and picked up two assists in 21 games with Vegas. He became a key member of their fourth line and a fan favourite, which is why he is getting nearly three million per season.

Reaves has picked up two goals and 18 PIMS in 10 playoff games this postseason, but it looks like he will sit in Game 5 with Will Carrier (undisclosed) returning to the lineup.

Reaves was acquired from the Penguins on Friday and will play his first game with Vegas tomorrow in Los Angeles. Reaves is not known for his offence, having picked up just eight points (4G / 4A) in 58 games this season.

Reaves was suspended for his hit on Sharks’ defenseman Matt Tennyson on Monday and will miss his first game on Thursday. He’ll miss the weekend’s back-to-back and is eligible to return next Tuesday in Ottawa.

Reaves was hurt after taking a puck to the ankle in yesterday’s practice. He is not on anyone’s fantasy radars.

Reaves was ruled out for tonight on Monday, but he was at the morning skate today and head coach Ken Hitchcock said that Reaves is feeling better and feels good enough to play tonight.

The Blues have been hit by a flu bug that has gone around the locker-room. Reaves will not play tomorrow because of the illness. He is day-to-day.

Reaves, 26, is in his fourth season with the Central-leading Blues and in 26 games, he's tallied two goals, three assists and 65 minutes in penalties. Reaves was drafted in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Reaves has not played since November 23 because of a broken hand. His role on the Blues squad is not that of a player with fantasy relevance. He has two goals and two assists in 22 games.

Reaves has been more known as the energy guy who pumps up home crowd with bone-crunching hits and dropping the gloves than his scoring ability. He had started carving out a permanent role in the Blues lineup, but will now sit for a month and give way to Magnus Paajarvi.

Reaves also drawing in for the Blues in place of Crombeen in favour of more size and speed.

Expect Reaves to rotate out of the lineup. He scored three goals and four points with 124 PIM in 59 games.

Look for Reaves to draw back in on the fourth line. The pugilist has three goals and an assist with 109 PIM.

Reaves draws back out for tonight's game. The enforcer has three goals and four points with 109 PIM in 56 games.

Look for Reaves to play on the fourth line. He has one assist and 69 PIM in 39 games.
