Hartnell played for 17 seasons, totalling 327 goals and 380 assists (707 points) across 1,249 career regular season games. Hartnell was originally drafted No.6 overall by the Nashville Predators in 2000 and went on to play six seasons there before suiting up for the Flyers, Blue Jackets and then ultimately back in Nashville for his final season.
The Predators will continue to rotate players out of the lineup to get them some rest with a playoff spot locked up. It looks like Calle Jarnkrok will draw back in for Hartnell, who will sit tonight and likely draw bak in in Arizona on Thursday.
Hartnell will be sidelined until at least the first week of December with a lower-body injury. Luckily for the Predators, they will get Nick Bonino back in the lineup to replace Hartnell tonight. With Hartnell out, this opens the door for someone like Viktor Arvidsson to play on the top PP.
Hartnell missed Monday’s practice and is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, which suggests that he will not play on Tuesday. With Hartnell out, either Nick Bonino will return from injury or Pontus Aberg will draw back in.
Hartnell was bought out after three seasons in Columbus and now lands in Nashville on what might be the best value deal of the summer. Hartnell isn’t graceful, but he puts the puck in the net with regularity. He had a tougher time than normal on that front last year, but he should be expected to score 20 goals with 20-plus assists this season, with a good chunk of those numbers coming on the power play.
There is no word on what is ailing Hartnell, but he will come out of the lineup tonight will be replaced by Jared Boll. Hartnell is listed as day-to-day.
Hartnell was a healthy scratch on Tuesday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Flames. Hartnell is expected to skate on a line with Brandon Dubinsky and Cam Atkinson—he has 15 goals and 16 assists (31 points) in 45 games this season.
