The Flyers lost Sean Couturier to an MCL sprain, so Laughton has been called-up and will be in the lineup on Wednesday. Laughton has not appeared in any games with the Flyers this season, but has scored two goals with six assists (eight points) in eight games with Lehigh Valley. Laughton has collected 27 points (9G / 18A) in 107 career NHL games.

Laughton, who is on long-term IR with a knee injury will go to Lehigh Valley to get up to speed before returning to the Flyers. Laughton had seven goals and 14 assists (21 points) in 71 games last season.

Laughton is recovering from a sprained knee that he suffered in training camp. With Laughton expected to miss at least 10 games, his move to LTIR helps the Flyers with some cap relief and a roster spot. Start monitoring Laughton’s status in about three weeks when he will be eligible to be removed from LTIR.

Laughton reportedly suffered the injury when he lost an edge in practice on Wednesday. Laughton was on-pace to make the Flyers’ opening night roster, but this injury leaves the door open for Travis Konecny to make the team after a tremendous training camp.

Laughton has just 14 points (4G / 10A) in 52 games this season and has only two assists in his last 12 games. He will be replaced by Jordan Weal tonight.

Laughton suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday’s game and was a late arrival for Monday’s morning skate, but will be in the lineup tonight vs. Carolina. Laughton has three goals, three assists and 34 shots on goal in 20 games this season.

Laughton will miss his sixth straight game with an upper-body injury, but his return to the ice for the morning skate is a good sign that Laughton is nearing a return and could be available for Saturday’s game vs. Toronto.

Laughton will miss his fourth consecutive game with an upper-body injury that he suffered last Wednesday. There has been very limited updates on Laughton so there is no telling when he will be back. Look for him to return shortly after the All Star break.

Laughton must have suffered the upper-body injury in the Flyers 1-0 loss to the Capitals last night. With Laughton out, Zac Rinaldo is expected to slide back into the lineup. Expect the Flyers to shuffle their lines with Laughton’s absence.

Laughton missed Saturday’s game with an undisclosed injury, but will return tomorrow vs. the Senators. Laughton will centre the second line with Michael Raffl and Wayne Simmonds. He has two goals and three assists in 22 games this season.

Laughton is dealing with some type of injury, but coach coach Berube would not specify what the nature of the injury is. With Laughton out, Zac Rinaldo will be back in the lineup.

Laughton, 20, was the Flyers first round pick (20th overall) in 2012. He had registered 11 points (6G / 5A) in 13 games prior to yesterday’s recall. He will skate on the Flyers’ third line with Vincent Lecavalier and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.

Laughton, 19, made the team out of training camp for a second consecutive season, but unlike last season, when he played five games in the NHL before going back to juniors, he was a healthy scratch for the season opener. “Scott was sent back to Oshawa today,” said general manager Paul Holmgren. “We felt this was the right thing to do for Scott and for the Flyers as it relates to his development.”

Laughton can remain with the Flyers for nine games because of his junior eligibility and then the club has to make a decision to either keep him or return him to Oshawa. If Laughton remains, his NHL contract would kick in immediately.
