Morrow was a second-round pick, 40th overall, of the Hurricanes in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut last season, playing two games with the Hurricanes. Morrow has spent the entirety of the 2024-25 season in the AHL, scoring 29 points (10G / 19A) in 41 games with the Chicago Wolves.
Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour said the 21-year-old blue-liner will likely make his debut when the Hurricanes travel to St. Louis on Friday. Morrow was the 40th overall selection in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He had six goals and 24 assists in 37 NCAA games this season with the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Morrow, who was selected in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft, is one of the Hurricanes' top prospects. The 21-year-old defenseman had 30 points (6G / 24A) in 37 games at UMass-Amherst in 2023-24.
