Johns has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury but will replace Roman Polak vs. the Oilers. Johns has picked up five points (2G / 3A) while averaging 2.7 hits and 1.3 blocked shots in 13 games this season.

Johns will come out of the lineup due to an upper-body injury, which is reportedly not related to his previous issue with headaches. Roman Polak will replace Johns on the blueline.

Johns is still working his way back from a long-term injury so he sat in the second half of a back-to-back earlier in the week but will draw back in for Andrej Sekera on Friday. Johns has picked up one goal and two assists in his last two games.


After playing his first two games of the season before and after the bye week, Johns was a healthy scratch on Wednesday but will replace Andrej Sekera tonight in New Jersey. He has four shots and two PIMS in his two games this season.

Johns missed the first 47 games of the season with post-traumatic headaches but has been activated from IR and will replace Miro Heiskanen, who is in concussion protocol. Johns had 15 points (8G / 7A) while averaging 2.7 hits and 2.1 blocked shots per game in 75 games last year.

Johns missed all of last season and the first half of this year with post-traumatic headaches but he's ready to play hockey again. Johns will get his start with Texas, where he'll likely play at least a couple of games before making his season debut with Dallas. The last time he suited up with Texas, he had three goals in two games.

Johns has missed the first seven games of the season, but could make his return to the lineup this weekend. The 26-year-old will likely replace either Roman Polak or Julius Honka and is coming off of a 2017-18 season where he had 15 points (8G / 7A) in 75 games.

Johns, 26, has improved in each of his two and a half NHL seasons since being drafted No.60 overall pick in 2010. Johns is a big, bruising defenseman, who led the Stars in hits (2.7 hits per game) last season while scored eight goals with seven assists (15 points).

Johns played just 8:18 TOI before leaving last night’s win over the Flames with an upper-body injury. The Stars did not say anything about Johns injury postgame, but they are off until next Tuesday so they have a few days to evaluate him.

Johns played just 5:32 TOI before departing Tuesday’s contest and being diagnosed with a concussion. Dallas in Edmonton on Thursday, so don’t expect Johns to be on the blueline.

Johns suffered an undisclosed injury in the Stars’ loss to the Blues on Tuesday. It looks like Johns will sit out for the final game before the Christmas break, which means with Jamie Oleksiak or Patrik Nemeth will get back into the lineup. a
