Thompson missed one game but is set to return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday. Thompson will replace Casey Mittelstadt and comes into the lineup with 14 goals and 15 assists (29 points) in 40 games.

Thompson was not able to travel to Canada for Tuesday's game due to COVID-19 international travel rules, so he'll be replaced by Mark Jankowski vs. the Senators.

Thompson has missed the last two games but will replace Zemgus Girgensons in the lineup on Saturday. Thompson has been terrific this season, scoring 12 goals with 11 assists (23 points) in 34 games.

He was hit awkwardly by Olli Maatta and suffered what appeared to be a shoulder injury. The Sabres have announced that he will miss at least three weeks.

Thompson is tied for the team lead with 12 points (6G / 6A) in 16 games with Rochester this season. Kyle Okposo left past night's game and is questionable to play on Sunday, so look for Thompson to make his season debut in Chicago. The 2016 first-round pick has 21 points (10G / 11A) in 106 career NHL games.

Thompson came to the Sabres with so much upside and a lethal shot but has registered just seven goals on 81 shots (8.6 SH%) and four assists (11 points) in 45 games this season. Thompson will be replaced by Johan Larsson tonight.

Thompson has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, but will replace Zemgus Girgensons on Saturday afternoon. Thompson has registered one assist and 12 shots in nine games far this season.
