Thompson missed one game but is set to return to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday. Thompson will replace Casey Mittelstadt and comes into the lineup with 14 goals and 15 assists (29 points) in 40 games.
Thompson was not able to travel to Canada for Tuesday's game due to COVID-19 international travel rules, so he'll be replaced by Mark Jankowski vs. the Senators.

Kyle Okposo left past night's game and is questionable to play on Sunday, so look for Thompson to make his season debut in Chicago. The 2016 first-round pick has 21 points (10G / 11A) in 106 career NHL games.
